This web page will consist of activities for the book Where The Red Fern Grows. My name is Rosemarie Ware and I am a seventh grade teacher at Harborside Middle School in Milford, Connecticut. This particular book is the CORE book for the seventh grade curriculum. I planned activities to help students increase their vocabulary, improve their comprehension skills, and also to help them learn to enjoy a book by sharing its contents with the rest of their classmates. I also tried to do activities that relate to the Connecticut Mastery Tests and asked the kinds of questions relating to the reading comprehension portion of this particular test.
