Photo Journalism Page

Good photos add to the overall quality of any newspaper or magazine. In this project the class will:

1. learn about the importance of photojournalism.

2. learn several types of images by studying some of the world's best photos.

3. create a portfolio of good photos.

4. take photos that demonstrate what has been learned.

 

The Assignment:

Find and take photographs that fit the following criteria:

1. The center of interest is in focus.

2. The photo catches the subject at a defining moment.

3. The photo's composition is interesting because of the angle used to take it.

4. The photo reinforces the text of the story.

5. The photo, without text, tells the story.
