Exploring the History of the American Press

Journalism 1 Mr. Turtola

  1. Research the journalistic career of the person you are assigned.

  2. Be prepared to portray the person you researched on a talk show with members of your group. (Extra credit will be given if you try to look and sound like the person by dressing the part and impersonating them) You may perform this live in class on the day it is due or on a videotape which you rehearsed and prepared before class.

  3. Keep the content of your discussion focused on journalistic accomplishments. Displaying clips of photographs or videos will be a successful way of earning a high grade.

  4. Connect to and interact with people on the show and focus on their work as fellow journalists. In your research, you may want to find similarities and differences about your work as compared to the other guests appearing on the show with you.

  5. Fill out this worksheet by Nov. 9th
