Mr. Turtola
- Today and tomorrow will be spent assessing the work that was done during
the third marking period. It will begin by reflecting on your process
and generating ideas for statements you make about your learning. It will
result in a 3 part essay that you compose in class tomorrow.
- Begin with a 10 minute, focused free write that generates ideas about
what was learned during the project. Then organize your ideas by completing
a graphic organizer. At the end of the class you should have a list of
statements that explain your learning. Spend time tonight making another
list of details that support your statements and compose an outline that
places your ideas in a logical order. Bring all of your prewriting documents
to class tomorrow.
- On Tuesday you will have the entire class time to compose a three part
essay where the thesis states your assessment of the third marking period.
You should make a statement about what grade you believe you have earned
and then offer supporting details that provide evidence to your statements.
Attach your prewriting documents to the back of your essay and submit
a proofread draft.
