Throughout the 2012-2013 school year we will be exposing Physical Education student to a variety of fitness activities. We will be exploring fitness units such as Insanity, Fitness Test Specific Activities, Step Aerobic, Zumba, Yoga, Cardio Kickboxing, and so much more. Our intention is to open students minds to all the ways there are to gain and/or maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Please encourage your children to show you all the new fitness we are learning in class because who knows your family may just find their new favorite hobby in one of these units.
We will be updating the website as we move into each new unit. You will be able to find information like fitness routines, homework assignments, quiz study guides, project rubrics, etc. throughout the year.
We are currently learning about step aerobics. The students have learned many steps and how to take these steps and build a routine. They are now developing their own step aerobic routines in small groups. Each group will be teaching a small portion of the class their routine. Below (under Resources in the Step Aerobic folder) are the steps from class, project checklist, and project rubric.
