Step Aerobics

Harborside:

We are currently learning about step aerobics.  The students have learned many steps and how to take these steps and build a routine.  They are now developing their own step aerobic routines in small groups.  Each group will be teaching a small portion of the class their routine.  Below (under Resources in the Step Aerobic folder) are the steps from class, project checklist, and project rubric.

Fitness Testing

The fitness test consists of 5 parts: curl-ups, push-ups, sit & reach, mile jog, and pacer tests.  See the fitness testing file below for specific expectations for each student.

East Shore:

Fitness Testing will begin the week of 10/1/12.

Harborside:

Fitness Testing will begin the week of 10/15/12.

*Please dress appropriately for a high level of fitness.  Students are encouraged to bring a labeled water bottle to class and practice their fitness test exercises at home*
