Meet Miss Dawid

Hello Family and Friends of Harborside and East Shore!

Thank you so much for allowing me to become a part of your school's community! I am thrilled to be a first year Physical Education Teacher in Milford. I am a product of the Milford School system myself so I am so excited to continue my career in Milford. I attended Calf Pen Meadow Elementary School, East Shore Middle School, and Foran High School. I graduated Foran in 2006 where I played four years of softball and volleyball and participated in club activities such as key club, ski club, and powder puff football.

After graduating High School I attended Central Connecticut State University. My major was Physical Education from the start and each semester made me fall more in love with my chosen field. I was an active member of the Physical Education community, during my time at Central, I was a Physical Education Club officer for two years and served as the President in my last semester. I also supported Central at the state level by serving on the CTAHPERD (CT Association of Health P.E. Recreation and Dance) executive board as a student representative for one year. I have attended National (AAHPERD), District (EDA), and State (CTAHPERD) Conferences as well as presented 3 workshops at CTAHPERD over the past 2 years.

As you know now I am splitting my time between two of our awesome Middle Schools in Milford. I am currently at Harborside on "A" Days and East Shore on "B" Days. My goal in our Physical Education community is to introduce students to lifelong skills to gain and/or maintain a healthy lifestyle. This includes a well rounded program involving both sports and fitness# Along with being a P.E. teacher in Milford I also coach Girls Softball and Girls Soccer at Foran High School. I have such a passion for Teaching and Coaching I could not imagine a better career for me!

Please contact me anytime at sdawid@milforded.org. I Look forward to getting to know the Harborside and East Shore communities!
