Theresa Voss holds a B.S. in Music Education from the University of Arizona, and a M.A. with an emphasis in Choral Conducting from Central Connecticut State University. She participated in her school band (on french horn) and choir from fifth grade through 12th grade, and continued in both band and choir at the University of Arizona.
Ms. Voss has taught music for 23 years in both Arizona and Connecticut. She taught private voice for many years, and has performed in church and community choirs as Alto section leader and soloist. She also served as the assistant conductor for the United Chorale in Bridgeport. As an active member of NAfME and CMEA, she held the position of All State Head Vocal Judge for several years, facilitating training and certification of vocal judges. She has also served as Southern Region Choral Chair at both the middle and high school level. She is currently the Region Director for the Southern Region.
Since joining the Milford music staff in 2002, Ms. Voss has taught chorus and general music at the elementary and middle school levels and has been the Vocal Music Director at Joseph A. Foran High School since 2005. She serves as the co-advisor to the Tri-M Music Honor Society and the Foran Drama Club. She is also the advisor for Foran GSA.
