I am pleased to begin my 12th year teaching third grade (my favorite!) here in Milford and my 30th year in the field of education. I hold an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education with a Concentration in Developmental Psychology from the University of Connecticut, and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University. As a lifelong learner and education "geek", I stay up-to-date with research and advances in education and related fields in order to provide my students with the most appropriate, meaningful, and engaging learning experiences possible. My goal is not only to teach curriculum, but to encourage curiosity, perseverance, and a positive attitude in order for each student to work toward fulfilling his or her potential.
When I am not immersed in teaching, I am spending time with my family or indulging in one of my many hobbies and interests. I love the beach, bicycling, knitting, gardening, watching movies, exploring new places, taking long walks with my husband and our family dog (Ozzie), eating ice cream or chocolate, and READING!! I have six (!) children, aged 17 to 25, who keep me very busy and make me very proud. That’s just a bit about me—I’m looking forward to learning all about YOU!
