Welcome to Room 8 at JFK School for the 2017-2018 school year! I'm looking forward to a wonderful year of growth and learning in Kindergarten!
Our School Motto:
Take Care of Yourself.
Take Care of Each Other.
Take Car of Our School.
Please be sure your child is ready for school everyday. Please remind them to listen so they can learn! Let's have fun learning together!
If you have questions or concerns please write a note and send it in the mail folder or email me. I try to check and respond to emails during school hours.
Please write me a note regarding any dismissal changes or call the school and speak to someone in the office who can relay the change to me. Thank you!
Each child will need the following:
***1 large backpack - The little ones are cute, but too small. They will need a larger one for snack/lunch bags, a mail folder (which I will provide), Home Practice folder (which I will provide) and a weekly library book.
***Daily snack - 1 food item and 1 drink. Please place their snack separate from their lunch to avoid confusion. Their first name should be clearly marked on their backpack/lunch bag/snack bag.
***Daily lunch (from home or purchased in the cafeteria)
I will provide folders, crayons, pencils, markers, glue, scissors, and pouches to hold it all. Any school supplies you purchase can be kept in a special place at home designated for when you practice skills. :)
There is more information in the Kindergarten Handbook on my site. Take your time reading it and please let me know if you have questions or concerns.
HEPFUL TIP: There can be an overwhelming amount of papers and notices that come home. My suggestion is to get a sturdy folder and put only the notices you feel are most important inside, then keep it in a special place. I found this to be very helpful when my own 2 children were in school. This way I could go right to the folder if I needed information on the school, events, newsletters, fliers, etc.
WHAT LETTER DAY IS IT TODAY?
