Welcome to Orange Avenue School!
Orange Avenue School is a Grade PK-5 learning community, located nearby beautiful downtown Milford. One of the many highlights of our school campus is A Walk In the Woods. This wonderful nature trail includes an outdoor classroom and a circuit with marked native flora, and has been a conduit for many community partnerships.
Our vision statement is: Orange Avenue School is a community of learners working together in a caring environment, persistent and reflective in their quest to become independent thinkers, readers, writers and mathematicians.
In order to achieve this vision for our students, we focus on academics, social and emotional learning, cultivating a welcoming school climate and culture, and strive to form strong bonds with families and the Milford community. This is what I know to be true of the people who make up this community:
❖ We do whatever it takes.
❖ We believe in kids and we believe in each other.
❖ We are all learners and believe our greatest resources are those we work with.
❖ We believe good work comes from hard work and hard work always pays off.
❖ We are caring, and we have high expectations for ourselves and for our students.
We believe that a strong partnership with parents and the greater community further benefits the learning outcomes for our students. In addition to the many events we plan as a staff to partner with families and the community, we have a dynamic PTA that supports students and families by providing a broad choice of after school activities, engaging family events, and educational and motivational fine arts programs for all children throughout the school year.
We are very proud of this learning community and are excited about this school year.
