Unit Objectives:

1) Students will learn the rules of the badminton serve. They will display safety while properly demonstrating the rules of serving.

2) Students will learn a variety of rallying strategies (clear, drop, and smash shots) used in badminton. They will properly demonstrate the forehand and backhand strokes.

3) Students will learn the scoring rules of badminton. They will properly demonstrate safety and etiquette while practicing their serving and returning (rallying) skills.

4) Students will properly demonstrate previously learned rules, strategies, and skills while competing against their classmates in a series of badminton games. They will track their progress using a tournament format sheet.
