Meet Mrs. Ciancanelli!
This is my sixth year teaching at Pumpkin Delight School. For the first three years, I taught fourth grade. I am so VERY EXCITED to continue my journey teaching second grade! I have been a part of the Milford Public Schools for many years. It is where I completed my student teaching in a grade five classroom and held many long term substitute positions in second, third, and fourth grade. I graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a degree in Anthropology and Sociology and received my masters in Elementary Education from the University of New Haven. I am currently enrolled at Albertus Magnus College to obtain my Literacy Specialist certification.
I was born and raised in Portugal for ten years. I have lots of great memories of living there and will often teach my students a little Portuguese. Currently, I live with my husband, Christopher, in North Haven. We are enjoying house projects and making it our own! When not at school, I enjoy cooking, shopping (obviously!), spending time outside, going to Mets games, and being with my family and friends.
I know that this is going to be a FANTASTIC year and I am EXCITED to create our classroom family!
