Create a catchy introduction for a persuasive writing prompt (What would you do with an extra hour added to the school day?) Prompt was discussed in class on Monday and Tuesday. Reminder: your introduction should be 7-10 sentences in length. You should take a clear stand and introduce your three reasons as tp why Mrs. Williams should consider your idea. It can be handwritten or typed.

Take one of your reasons and create a paragraph. Reminder: 7-10 sentences. You should have at least (if not more) three specific details for support. You do not need to finish the essay. It can be handwritten or typed.

Reading goal - Minimum but not limited to (of course you can read more) 100 minutes of reading a week. 20 minutes a night.

MUG SHOT Quiz #2 retakes - Tuesday during flex period.

Monday - Plan for your book talk. What book are you going to share? What are three good things to share about your book? How will you rate your book.
Rubric distributed in class.
You may wish to prepare your "talk" on index cards or a lined piece of paper. Talk will be less than five minutes in length.

Tuesday - Plan your book talk - 20 minutes

Wednesday - Plan your book talk - 20 minutes. You do not need to bring in your book. You do need the title, author, and type (genre). You can get that information on line in a search.

Thursday - Book talk - less than five minutes - refer to your rubric for specifics.
