G071 The Biggest Loser Weight Loss Challenge
NEW. Based on the hit TV show, the program will include vigorous workouts and a healthy meal plan, based on the food pyramid. It will be run by Sandra Briggs, Creator of the original “Milford’s Bigges Loser,” nationally recognized by IHRSA for having the highest percentage of weight lost by participants in the country in 2007. The program will also include kitchen clean-outs, grocery trips, healthy recipes, bi-weekly challenges, and prizes. Workouts will be scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays either at 9:00 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. and one weekend. Twelve weeks.

Take your photographic skills to the next level in our advanced class with Bob Harrington. Learn how to capture motion with long exposures, how to frame compositions to get better shots, explore macro photography, shoot in RAW format and begin light painting. Four weeks will be classroom time and three weeks will be held as field workshops. Requirements: digital SLR, you must know how to set manual exposure, sturdy tripod, cable release or knowledge of the camera’s self-timer, ability to work quickly as the light changes and to travel to three locations yet to be determined. Guys, gals, once you’ve hooked a fish on a fly rod you will be hooked, too! This is the ultimate sport that everyone can enjoy. Join us for an informative class that will get you started in fly fishing and will show you the fundamentals of flycasting, gear, clothing, knots and fly tying. Fly rods and fly tying materials will be provided for use in class. This will give you the opportunity to try out the equiipment and know more about it before you buy. G101 Private Pilates Reformer Private Session - A New Season, A New You
Are you plagued with back pain, weak abdominal muscles, poor posture, or low bone density? Try Pilates, a mind-body discipline that aims to improve body awareness and develop correct postural alignment. It focuses on trunk stability, deep core abdominal muscles and correct use of breath with the use of a specially designed machine called the reformer. Sessions are individually tailored to your fitness goals. Whether you are an experienced exerciser, active sports person, recovering from an injury, or a complete novice, Pilates can change your body and your life. G103 Saltwater Fly Fishing
This course will teach you all you need to know to successfully fly fish in salt water. We will start with an examination of equipment, knots and leaders. Then study the prey species, the flies that best imitate them and how to tie them. We end with a slide presentation of a number of habitats and fishing spots along the Connecticut Shoreline. Students will be notified as to equipment and material they will need before the first class. Limit: 12 students. Seven weeks.
