The latest exercise craze is inspired by the graceful and demure art of ballet. Personal trainers are modifying their workout regimens to include ballet based exercises. The new look for bodies today is the sculpted body, and what better way to sculpt every muscle in the body than Ballet Class. Forget aerobics and weight lifting. Ballet is cardio, strengthening, and increases your flexibility! Requirements: Ballet shoes and enthusiasm! Gum chewing and street shoes are prohibited and water bottles are allowed in the changing area only. Eight weeks.

An exciting evening of dance awaits you! Stop being a wall-flower and learn all the dances you need to know to have fun at the next wedding, reunion or any number of social occasions. An elegant workout for the body and mind, ballroom dancing improves your posture, broadens your social skills, and gives you the opportunity to spend time with your partner and make new friends. You will learn the basic steps in fox trot, rumba, waltz, swing, cha-cha, polka, and more. No sneakers allowed. Gum chewing prohibited. Nine weeks.

Carol Farrell is on the board of directors of Professional Dance Teachers Association and has taught nationally for Dance Caravan. Her album “Show Stopper Routines” is used by dance studios across the country and she has been a judge for World Youth Festival for three years. The Carol Farrell School of Dance has been teaching students for more than four decades and is well-known throughout Southern Connecticut for its high quality of teaching and dance performance.

Stomp out your stress and have a blast as you learn the basics of tap and get great exercise! Requirements for the course: tap shoes and enthusiasm! Gum chewing and street shoes prohibited. Water bottles allowed in the changing area only. Limit: 15 students. Eight weeks.
