This unique course introduces the student to the miracles of Computer Aided Design through the use of AutoCAD LT. Topics include drawing, editing, construction and display commands. Familiarity with the basic Windows Operating System is essential. Familiarity with Windows 2000 is recommended. Course limited to 8 students. Ten classes.

This course explores the more advanced applications of AutoCAD LT. Topics to be covered include the concepts of Paper Space and Model Space, Isometric Drawings, Extrusions, 3D Wireframe Constructions, Use of Filters and Layer Freezing. This course offering is for PC beginners. Students will explore the fascinating world of PC’s through Windows NT and will learn the basics of word processing, database and spreadsheeting. G059 Microsoft Excel 2003 - Beginners
A course that will cover the basics of Microsoft Excel. Topics covered include saving and printing a file, setting column widths, changing number formats, aligning text, copying and moving text, creating formulas, just what you need if you work with numbers, and applying various font and number attributes. Prerequisite: Microsoft Word for Beginners class or a basic familiarity with computers and Windows. Limit: 12 students. Five weeks.

G060 Microsoft Excel 2003 - Beginner

Working with numbers? An Excel spreadsheet is the way to go. Begin with simple text and number entries, add a formula and Excel will do the work. Move easily from basic arithmetic to complex calculations involving business, financial and statistical applications. Create practical applications with Excel including: a two-year budget with a projection for the following year; a small business P&L statement; a personal checkbook register; a teacher’s grade book and more. Make the numbers easier to understand with colorful charts and graphs. Learn formatting techniques to make the sheet attractive and easy to read. Customize your printout with the many available printing choices. Prerequisite: Introduction to PC course or experience with Windows. Limit: 15 students. Five weeks.

A hands-on course designed to teach new and intermediate users how to organize, edit, alter and repair digital photographs. Emphasis will be on image enhancements, object removal, emphasizing objects, collages, composites, and distortions. Students must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft XP.
