No matter what your age, financial situation, or goals, you need to know about the power of investing. Learn about the stock market and other forms of ownership and loanership investments. Besides the basics of finances, we will cover retirement planning, reasons why people fail to meet their investment goals, ideas to help you avoid common pitfalls, and rules every investor should know and follow. We will also cover the advantages and disadvantages of the types of investments available today - from certificates of deposit to annuities. An $8 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

G027 Caring for Your Aging Parent

NEW. This class is for the aged caregiver and/or their adult children to explore the many options of living gracefully at home. The focus will be on current trends and costs of various levels of care, and determining which level is appropriate. Also included is Life Planning to ensure that the elderly person does not disengage from their environment and lapse into depression. We will cover the normal aging process, techniques to maintain one’s sanity while providing care and comfort, as well as how to select agencies and providers if needed.
